Deer Lake

This project is located in Clarkston and is a good example of the power of a simple design to create an extraordinary outdoor living space. A custom pergola frames views of Deer Lake beyond while creating an inviting space to relax and gather with friends or family. Beneath its cedar beams, a custom limestone fireplace and timber mantle stands silhouetted against the horizon. A stone retaining wall serves as a visual foundation for the landscape composition. Large boulder outcroppings define the living space and anchor the edges of the random Fon du Lac slab and moss patio. The result is a rugged aesthetic that complements the natural scenery of the lake.
